Finally working : FIC

FYI guys, I am only tuning ONLY off the MAP table. My MAF signal is not even being intercepted with my current setup.

Are you running NA right now or you installed your turbo kit?
Because I can't run without intercepting the MAF because I had misfire/bucking/jerking/whatever what you call it.

got my fic working. intercepted the maf with a resistor to ground. went to my tuner. was having trouble tuning with the MAF table. he had to add like 80% fuel and the ecu was pulling timing. car was misfiring like crazy due to my old plugs. my tuner wants to try one more time with the MAF otherwise we will be going MAP only.

Bad to hear :S
hope mine will not do this s*** :(
Anyways we plan to tune only the fuel map and the timing, we don't plan to use the o2 and the MAF one.

Hope it's gonna work !

Go in the street to start tuning it, went very well ! No issue at all, tuning only the MAF section. Are you sure you correctly set the max clamp to 4.6v?

i didnt pull my o2 sensor to force close loop. how is your MAF wired? i had to add a resistor to the MAF input going into the FIC. I'll make sure the clamp is set to 4.6 tho.

Just checking. How is the car running ? Any problems,

Which unit of the AEM FIC /6 did you use. There are 6 models. 30-1910 to 30-1913 and then 30-1930 and 30-1931.

Still running fine, but can't completed the tuning, since I had to change my wideband sensor.

With the 4.6 v max clamp, at stock boost I have 11.5 at redline with no change to map, but at 10 psi I get 13.5 at about 5000. You have to add more gas in the fuel map after that.

I know I keep asking, but since your one of the first with the FIC. Any problems.

yea I did the only thing I notice is my wideband fluxuates alittle but its only with in .3 of where I want ie: 16.2 it would go between 15.9-16.5

Yeah! just follow your wiring diagram? I have it saved.. can you pm me the rest of the instructions i would appreciate it! Thank you so much!

disconnected the front o2 sensor and it is alot easier to tune going to see if I can clamp the o2 with the fic
