Finally installed my HiBoost kit

the FTC should do the trick for you. were you looking for more features or something?

yay I finally got a decent map going. 3rd, 4th, 5th gear she holds a solid 12.5afr. Not sure why 1st, and 2nd it goes lean. But I figure I just up the voltage a little after 3k rpm to bring the afr down. Now only if there was someone else that could try running my map to confirm it's all good

Any how I won't be using this map in the near future. MSP ECU shouldve been here like two days ago. Paid an extra $50 for faster shipping and tomorrow makes it a whole week I've been waiting. I'm not going to mention where I got it from but I ordered it from a respectable vendor and he has not been answering my PM's

It's not the FTC as it is the stock ECU. the maps it has and the way it runs is retarded. like for some reason, don't know why, after i dropped in the 440 injectors, right around -10inHg it goes absolutely retarded rich and stumbles, above and below that the ECU runs it fine. i was able to set output B at -10inHg and tune it up from then and pull out that rich spot so it's a smooth transition.

One thing about the FTC i hate is on hot starts the car will run a 20afr and stumble like crazy for a about a minute. i either let it sit and work itself out or bring the rpms to 3k and hold it there till it levels out. i'm assuming it's the FTC because it didn't happen before then.

before i make a final decision i would like to convert to a blow-through MAF and move the IAT after the TB as well. that should make it run a little bit better. i've notice the FMIC is pretty efficient. the pipes before the IC will be pretty hot to the touch and the pipes after it are almost ice cold at night, and cool during the day.

and my WBO2 just stopped working tonight :( don't have time to look at it tonight. gauge works, shows to signal from the LC-1. i checked the wires the grounds are still on there. hopefully i'll get a chance tomorrow to pull my meter out troubleshoot. either way i'm gonna need to buy a new sensor now from driving around without it powered. i'm pissed.

My sensor in my tuning process died too...started swinging lean then centered on stoich. Maybe from running so rich up top at high boost. PLX suspected the unit so charged me $80 to "FIX IT" to find out it actually was the sensor...another $80!

You should have air temp and coolant temp corrections that can be adjusted in your afc software I would think once you get your wb straightened out.

the FTC only connects to the MAF sensor wires, coil wires, and O2 sensor wires, and has an internal MAP sensor.

it's great for what it's intended to do, tune the bad stock ECU.

I'm wondering if getting a mazdaspeed ECU will help clear up some of the vacuum side problems since the maps were written for this engine with a turbo.

yeah, a msp ecu would clear up the problems and be a much cheaper thing to do. it would be stupid to keep the ftc for inseptions. it is a wasit of money. just pick up a msp ecu and you wont have the maf problems. you probably wont even need new injecorts if you dont go over 8 psi.

i was maxing the MAF voltage with the stock injectors. and i would need the stock ECU + FTC to pass inspection.

also started my car for the first time today in the afternoon and my WBO2 works again. wtf?

well its maxing out the maf voltage with the stock injecotors because of the stock ecu. that wouldnt happen wiht the msp ecu. it sets up the fuel delivery differently.

but yea the inspection thing could be a problem
