Finally installed CX-5 boot light!

I didn’t like dim boot light so I installed led strip! I was thinking of changing the original one to led but I didn’t like the light at the back as it’s making shadow. It is quite bright so I am happy with it!

That looks awesome. Keep in mind those use 10-30W so the power draw is substantial if kept on.

My favorite strip so far uses what they call "COB" lights (chip on board).

I have this behind my 77" Sony OLED:

Though to use it you would need an inverter which is inefficient. Hopefully the OP responds.

Quick question, do you have a write up on how you wired this into the car. I’m interested in wiring some additional light into the trunk and was wondering how did you wired up so this way it’s only on when the trunk lift gate is open.

I have not, mine is still under warranty so I didn’t want to tap the wiring just yet. But you can tap the boot light wire by t connector and install additional wire to it
