Finally Change Our Front Brakes!

Well kids, the clock on our 2009 CX 9 is reading 70,500 miles and the front brakes were making a low rumbling sound. It got worse when we had a full load on so I had my local dealership check it out. They found that the front disc's were needing to be turned and they suggested the new Akibono(sp) pads be installed as well. A couple of hours and about $244.00 later the deed was done. Not as bad as I thought it would be and after that many miles on the original brakes we can't complain one bit. Hopefully these replacement pads will do as good our better than the oem!

wow, I'm shocked to see anyone with a CX-9 get 70k miles out of factory brakes! Fist bump.

Believe it or not, I just has the full-cycle inspection at Mazda dealer.
The report card says about my brake "50% left". I am at 48K miles.
(if you can believe their measurement?!)

P.S. I have been called many names, but not "slow driver".

Are akibono brake pads original mazda brand brake pads? I was wondering since you said that the dealer recommended this to you.
