As the title says, I finally discovered a use for the worthless dash cubby on the left side of the dash of my 2016.5 CX-5.

This item comes with not one but two mounts. One is a VERY good unique vent mount and the other is what you see below. I used the vent mount in my MX-5 it works perfectly. That vent mount also works in the CX but it ties up the vent and I didn't want that. It doesn't matter in the MX as I have the top down 99.5% of the time and don't need to worry about the vent being partially blocked.
The suction cup sticks very well to the top of the cubby and seems very sturdy.
