finally 13's !

i finally managed to get to the track on a day it wasnt above 90 degrees, and managed to get some decent times. my first pass was 14.0 @ 99mph. i knew i was going to break 13's i just need some time. i only got 2 more runs after that but they were both 13.9's. i know the car is good for a little more one run had a 2.0 60ft. and the other was 2.2 60ft. , but both 13.9ET. that tells me the car is good for at least 13.7 as it is. it was the last day of the season at route 66 so it was PACKED. a little more time i could have done better i think, but i'm happy for now.

one guy is at 12.7 ...very impressive in his ms3 with much room to mod

Nice times for a basically stock car, that can get 32mpg on Highway. After I do my next oil change and decide on my Motor Mount Decision, The Dog Bone or just inserts or what. I launched my car for first time hard from a stop and Dropped clutch at about 2.5k and spinned all the way thru first allot of second and some 3rd and actually chirped 4th. I have no mods yet either and as this launch would not have been much of a launch on the track, it was fun and prob cost me 20 bucks in tire wear but I didn't get any Hop at all, was surprised. Now with a Sticky VHTed track I could imagine it hopping but I was surprised at the lack of hopping on A1A in St. Augustine anyway. LOL I'm just trying to decide if this is a worthwhile investment as the stock one seems to do an OK job. I guess poly will last longer and be stronger but until i experience wheel hop, i will prob wait. Though I keep missing 3rd gear during races, very annoying. I do feel a little disconnected from this engine/drivetrain compared to other cars I've owned but its getter better and It will be done up nice with the best mods eventually to be a great 13.0 Daily driver, may not even have to be that loud if Cobb does what it can with the AP.
