Feeler Thread: Forge dual-piston BOV

I get some hesitation & jerkiness too, but it's nothing new to my car. There is a thread about it on here & it's a common problem, not just for people with this BOV. I am going to try hooking my lines up to the brake booster as soon as I can figure out how to do it.

Wait so this BOV addes jerkiness and hesitation. That's not good....I'm not sure I want to go along with the order.....

No jerkiness here for me either... I"m flashed though...
OK I want that nailed down cause my car runs pretty good and I don't want cool BOV sound and sacrifice(sp) drivability.

Well I've had no problems since i installed my BOV... I've had the forge unit for a while (I was one of the testers). Except for the sound and some more reponsiveness drivablility hasn't changed.

Mine does it if I let off the gas when I'm going slowly...that's the only jerkiness I have.
Oh I'm sure there's other Jerkiness in your car.....your driving right?
;) ;) ;) ;) ;) ;) j/k

Ok, I'm running both valves now on the same line. I've got different vacuums for each the BPV and BOV. You can't really hear the BOV because it's recirculating some of the air, but when you have the hood open you can feel the BOV venting to atmosphere. No stalling at all, no more hesitation then before BOV (I have dedicated a different vacuum line for the Forge BOV). I will have pictures up tomorrow and I'm going to tap into the charge pipe going to the T/B and run the BPV into that and then just vent with the Forge unit off the charge pipe from turbo. Will take pics and see what happens. I'll keep you all informed. This is going to be interested tapping into the stock pipe for this one. Anyway, if you guys know anyone selling stock pipes, I'm in the market. Want to keep a set around for warranty work.

Oh yeah, it seems to have eliminated a bit of the turkey but it's still there just not as much as before the BOV, so I'm getting there....can't wait to be turkey free.

Pics? :D

I might have some stock pipes for sale, but I don't have any idea what the going price is for them. Are you driving to Protegefest? I could bring them with me to the meet to save on the hassle of shipping. I haven't yet decided if I want to sell them but I am pretty sure I can part with them.

TheJohnny,

cant wait to see your set up... been thinking bout doing what you did...so you linked up new vacuum lines for the bpv too?, where did that lead to? kinda confused..but as soon as you take your pictures, i'm sure i'll sort it out...props to you though...thanks man!!(headbang)

Engine Shot of BOV/BPV

Ok, here it is.....no stalling but you can't really hear the BOV. This weekend I'm going to BPV to the charge pipe right below the lines, and then run the BOV only from the upper charge pipe.

Yeah, I'm going to Protegefest with VegasMSP. I've got to send out my money soon and make some reservations at someplace to stay. Hope to see you all there.

I though we were replacing our BPV with the forge BOV unit?

II-Savy Yes this was supposed to replace the stock unit but this was just me experimenting to make sure I didn't stall. The car does have a tendency to stall from high RPM drops, but not like this it doesn't. Going to mess around a bit more this weekend with going to BOV on the I/C pipe...maybe, I'm not sure yet...

yeah thats the one thing you should not do...I've been told to downshift. It was the only problem I experience but its not a big one. Just dont shift into neutral above 2000 or so rpm. I gotten use to it and never stall anymore.

yeah, I'm just looking to make more noise out of the BOV so I think I'm going to install it onto the charge line going to the T/B instead of the top of the SMIC. We'll see, I'm going to mess around with it ....

I'm going to mess with it tonight, before I put it like this it was dropping way way down to almost stalling conditions. I didn't have a good vacuum source though so I'm going to try again with the new vacuum source that I have.
