I worked at a FedEX ground terminal loading the trucks for local delivery from the main transport trucks... I did it for like a week before I had enough... it was mad shady. when that stuff came down to us too fast, we would just throw it somewhere in the vicinity of our truck, and hope it didn't fall off the platform. (cause we needed the space off the platform for other things.. which I'll mention later) that job blew! they had me trying to load 3 different trucks on my 3rd day there.. which meant I had to memorize almost 70 zip codes, and have them mapped in the truck. I would then have to try to memorize the streets and place the packages in order of the route the delivery guy would go. needless to say, I was tossing a lot of packages at the trucks. and when we ran out of space, or were running out of time, thats when the off platform space came in handy... cause you would throw that stuff down there, and if you were really pressed, throw it under the truck and hope the driver doesn't see it as he drives away. mad shadiness... I worked for 1 more day and then had enough... took a long weekend for my bro's wedding and then just never went back...
