cool, I knew the headgasket was my problem. I'm just curious as to what angle the dealership is going to throw at me. They've avoided my phone calls all day. I'm going after the dealership general manager tomorrow to find out why my car's been there for 2 days without anyone looking at my car or offering me a loaner. Time to bust some heads. I'm 6'2" 250lbs. My wife says she feels bad for them if I have to go down there!!!

Dont take no s*** off those assholes at least make them take of care you. If they don't agree with it being their problem then they need to give you a loaner until they make that determination.

On topic: Will this FCD need to be adjusted for varying air densities? Say it's 106 today but only 24 in Dec? Will it have to be adjusted for the given conditions?

I'm thinking I might have to get this FCD kit..
It cools down in the evening here and i'm only boosting at around 9psi (still haven't figured out what my 'steady' boost is yet) but I was floorin it in 3rd and hit the fuel cut. I almost up-chucked my dinner..this fuel cut sucks..:(

well imagine accelerating along at wot and then slamming on the breaks for a split second...quite fun.

Haha- told you guys :).. I love all the "I run 12 psi- there is no fuel cut" posts :).. Like I have always said (and perfworks verified)- it is not psi based- it is airflow/volume based :).

This will definately help you out :).

I have the FCD stuff on it's way early this week. The FPR stuff is here, I have just been busy trying to catch up from being sick the week before last- 3 days set me back over a week!!! I am hoping to have all my FPR kit orders go out on Monday and then the FCD stuff will go out shortly after.

Unwritten law explained it perfectly. I live in tampa, FL and everytime I take my car past 5500 or so it does that s***. I take it to the dealership and they say......" OHH it is the REV limiter ".. WTF is that I work a Ford I know WTF a rev limiter is! It will hit that fuel cut, jump for a sec and then get back on it untill like 7000 ( have'nt taken it past that yet ). Tempature is always changing here so I am not sure what is going on but does anyone think it might have to do with the humidity or am I going crazy here?

By the way my car is currently stock, but when I had the FPR kit and a K&N filter it helped with the jump ALOT! Because JOE's the MAN!

What boost are you running? Stock boost will not fuel cut, it will stumble up top due to being too rich though- that's what my FP reduction kit is for. The FCD prevents fuel cut on the cars running 9 psi +.
Joe

yeah sorry about that. The car does not have your MBCon it yet... So how would you go about hooking the FCD up? I am still curious on how to add a boost guage in there with my FPR kit. Any info would help. sorry about all the q's, but how much did the 3" exhaust section run you?

Yeah, its definately affected by outside temps..during the day when its warm out i rarely hit fuel cut..but as soon as the temps drop at night, I have to fricking keep off it...damnit..

kwiktsi,
I heard that the reason they run MSPs so rich is because the extra fuel is an easy way to cool the internals of the engine and avoid detenation. Any truth in that??? Does adding the FPR increase overall engine temp?

The fuel cut also has something to do with air density. Thats why whens its warm - less dense air higher fuel cut; cold - denser air, lower fuel cut.

hey joe just wondering how much it would be if i ordered all 3 the fpr, mbc, and fcd shipped to SC???? seems like your the man of the hour or week. lol.
