The Seasons in Order of Preference:
Fall -- Hello! Cool weather, and frankly there is a smell and a crispness in the air you just cannot duplicate! It reminds me of home and of family. If someone could copy that smell...I would buy it in a heartbeat! Hardly any bugs to bother you too! It is the best time to drive with the windows down!! Listening to the wind through the trees and all the blowing leaves! When I die, I hope I get a good taste of the Fall before it happens.
Spring -- Also cool... The smell in the air is different than Fall... But still nice. It is sweeter to me, and everything feels new. I love the smell of a thunderstorm and the cool rush of air in the Spring. Did I mention....Listening to the wind through the trees?
Winter -- Ok...it can be cold, but how great is a fresh snowfall without it being super cold? How about watching kids play in the snow? No bugs to bother you at all! How about going in to a warm house and getting under blankets --- or even electric blankets! The taste of fresh made stew or chili when you are cold. The sound of the woods during a soft snow fall. Your feet crunch under the snow and you can just barely hear the tired wood creaking in the wind. Beautiful.
Summer --- The Green Cancer. It is hot...too hot. Bugs are everywhere trying to sting and bite me. Weeds / grass, etc. are growing out of control. I have to work to keep them at bay from trashing my yard and my house. Allergies run rampant. Cooking in the back yard is more work than fun. The heat combined with grill makes we sweat so bad I need to shower afterwards. I would never eat outside because of the heat and bugs trying to eat what I just prepared! The only bonus is the occasional late night thunderstorm to lull me to sleep...but they are few and far between.
