well if I am buying the parts BEFORE the job starts....I shop around and buy the best quality parts at the best price, regardless of who has them...

if I am having to go out and buy stuff in the middle of a job, because something broke or I didn't know I needed that particular part....my favorite becomes that closest palce that has what i need.....lol

I have worked at a national parts store before, so I know how they get their parts (mostly reman'ed) and I have personally seen all the people who get frustrated by the fact that the part wasn't the right one, or didn't fit exactly right, or was a "universal" part (grrr). For my babies, dealer parts are the only way to go. Damn the money...if you don't have the money for the "expensive" dealer part, you shouldn't own a car...:flip:

There's always a reason why something is less expensive at the "other guys'" parts store...

what that guy is trying to say is that you not gonna pay $324098340983240938240 more for a part cuz it's from mazda. damn i remember i bought a stupid bolt at mazda for 10 bucks. it was just a regual bolt that was a odd length that it. i could have bought it from a auto parts store for 50 cents and just cut it the the right size.

But i am on your side too. if the price anit to bad i'm gonna go for the OEM. screw saying 10 bucks on somthing that cost $200. rather send the $10 more for the OEM part.

polls are fun..hehe. I get my cleaning stuff,soap,oil,ect from pep boys or discount auto, but I never buy any parts from there except my fram easy drain plug, and my car cover (I was pressed for time so I got the most expencive one and its pretty damn nice, its cover craft), but I hate pep boys theres so many ricey parts in that place its unholy.

PEP-BOYS sells CRAP

they sold me the wrong starter for my car (my car is the same as a toyota corolla) it worked for about a month and then fell apart
ALL of the alternators they had in the store were CRAP, none of them worked on the test machine they had, and the defective alternator I brought in provided a BETTER charge than what the "new" alternators had
their brakes = CRAP
alignment jobs = CRAP
tires = COMPLETE s***
and the people that work there are a buch of retarted knuckle dragging Neanderthals

now NAPA, what a great place, and ye-know why they are so great, their parts WORK and dont crap out and leave you in the middle of nowhere
