Fast & The Furious: Tokyo Drift

It may be a little extreme. But come on, how many RX7's do see like that??
None. Most people don't even know what the hell the car is with that kit on.
It makes it into a whole different car. Not rice to me.

Man just because it's non functional does not make it rice. Maybe our definitions of rice are different, but I think of it as any mods done in just blatant bad taste. If you really wanna label a $50,000 car with a $17,000 body kit rice, that's your opinion, but I personally think it's a very tasteful kit that completely changes the attitude of the car...

And to whoever said the Veilside RX7 was in all three movies, that's a neg. In the first one he had a normal RX7 with veilside stickers on it, and I dont remember there being one at all in the second one.
Agreed. That RX-7 was extreme (a lot too much for my tastes), but not rice, IMO. That's what Veilside does; and alot of their company cars have the performance to back up their "unique" looks.

As far as it being the same RX-7 from the last film; According to SCC, one of the leftover RX-7's from the last film WAS used to build one of the numerous Veilside RX-7's they used in the film.

I thought we were all Mazda worshipers, why u hating on the 7

I reserve the right to hate a car that can't spin it's own wheels because they are so over-sized and heavy.

Kinda like the Lambo kit for the Fiero, but more badasser

Wait a minute, the Lambo kit for a Fiero isn't rice? (ughdance)

Naw,I like it.And your right,it's a unique. At least the cars in this movie don't have gay decals like the ones in the first and second movie. So yeah, this movie is total JDM(2thumbs)

I thought it was a great movie....

OTHER THAN.

The lead. He was the WRONG person to play that part. He sounds like a total retard with that stupid accent (actually it was more like a retard with an accent). I couldn't get passed that. I knew I recognized him from somewhere though... It finally came to me. The little kid of Slingblade! Confirmed:

"It's got 500 horsepower and a Borla exhaust!" lol.... GTFO tool time.

I did appreciate the fact that Bow Wow talked like a normal human being and not some ghetto ass rapper.

I liked it, I was entertained. :) I like all those cheesy type action movies though. xXx, FNF 1-2, Biker Boys, Torque, etc.

*I haven't read any other replies

Hm... considering the veilside rx-7 has been wind tunnel test for aerodynamics and has a functional body kit... I don't think rice is the right word for it.

How is it non-functional? It looks good doesn't it? Isnt' that its purpose right there?

Maybe he's leaning towards the mechanically functional versus aesthetically functional?

i was filmed in Los Angeles. I was invited to park my car as a backdrop with a bunch of other cars as well as be an extra. i respectfuly declined their invite. i didn't wanna have to deal with the crap i would get from my friends.
but then you could double the asking price when you put your car on ebay..

i'd rock it, 2005 Tokyo Autosalon best of show winner.

wow thats a nice body kit!!! i like the movie but it will be better if they have the old crew!!!

well i saw the movie tonight..my .02 s that the movie was an great "upgrade" from the original two. i do think that vin at the end brings "closure" to the first movie but i still didnt like him in the movie it made me realize how he throws off the whole movie in the first one...bad bad actin lol

anyways the drift scenes were awesome i want that shop for a home as well. many hott women and nice lookin cars.....wish i had that type of tuner popularity where i live but all i see are porsches and ferraris and lambo's bentleys and the like. not bad but still. i do think that brad or w/e from tool time should never act again in his life he sucked almost as bad as vin....

anyways its not bad i wanna dorfto now but know i cant and never will be able to :( it had made me realize a few things though that well street racing is just plain retarded....and ive known this for some time but i just realized that i dont have to "one up" people on the road...so i guess im a maturing driver who knows? but the movie does make me wanna dump 10k into the protege5 lol....enough ranting night all!
