Fast & The Furious: Tokyo Drift

You are going way too in depth to it. It's made to appeal to the mass of audience that aren't only hardcore import enthusiasts.

Not too in depth, just enough. Story and CGI was for the audience, Tsuchiya and the real drifting was for the enthusiasts. BTW there was also a car show at the movie theater I went to. It was like a MINI-HIN. About three of so GT-R's and plently of REALLY nice cars that incorporated both show and power. Also one stock Protege on rims!

Well i hope this movie helps my car sell. It seems like i'm having allot more trouble selling it than i thought. I bet allot of people are going to want a 350z after seeing the movie. I think i will just make some laps around the local theaters.

I almost drifted asleep halfway through this one. It just reminded me of a bad modern day western with no depth whatsoever. For mindless fun, thumbs up ....for a good movie, thumbs down.

So where's the old thread where people on this forum would rather have a pole stuck up their ass before they went to go see this?

i enjoyed the movie. it's nice to have a movie which embraces the tuner culture. i agree with jdm sam it's a movie, not a documentary. the car selection was nice and having Tsuchiya the "Drift King" and Verna Mei the first lady of drift was nice touch for the hardcore enthusiasts! Oh and it was nice seeing Vin Diesel come back, it gave a nice complete serious feel to it.

the kid in the viper in the beggining was from tool tile (ughdance)

that kid is almost 26 years old and he was playing a high school jock. WTF MANG

lol, i was thinking it was college peeps till they said prom. the viper guy is from home improvement.

according to imdb the rx8 love interest girl has no film experience outside of this movie. interesting that her first role anywhere would be a speaking part in a major studio pic.

the blue and pink power rangers were both like 26/27 when they started that show way back when. wow really dating myself here :(

the sad part is i know who your talking about, David Yos (billy) and Amy Jo Johnson(kimberly) if im not mistaken

I loved it!! I thought the start was a little corny and some of the lines were a bit cheezy but all and all it got better as the movie progressed. My fave scene had to be the drift through the see of people and the greatest line of the move to me was

"there factory tuned and if you are doing over 182 kph then they wont chase you cause they cant keep up"

the character I liked the most and thought really stood out in the movie was Haun just be cause he was so laid back and chill not to mention I would probably like any one that would hand me the keys to thier skyline, RX-7 and give me a fully built EVO8.

this was bye far the greatest one out of the series and with the apperance of Vin you know there is going to be a 4th because of the way the left the movie open ended. I for one actually like the camio from Vin myself it helped to tie the other to movies to this one.

Glad to hear that a bunch of you enjoyed it, I however will not see this till it's "World Television Premier" on TNT (I.E. -free)

I'll stick to Initial D

Intitial D is done till the 5th Stage next year, Go see the movie! :D

Oh yeah, Hahn Is the greatest character EVER! My guess is a F&F Prequel with Vin & Hahn. Now that i think about it, didn't in the previous movies they mention that diesil had jumped to Japan?

I have a bunch of passes to theaters around me. Maybe we will have a NEPOC trip to see it when you can use passes........

There was a FnF3 meet going on at The Block at Orange.... in the city of Orange, CA.

I rolled with my neighbour in his Supra (all stock except for exhaust and rims), another friend in his S2000, and two more Supras. Red one had about 700whp and the black one dyno'd at 1001whp and only uses race gas. Car is so clean and unbelievably awesome. Rides on 325/19/25 rear tires... LOL. Sounds amazing too.

There were actually alot of cars that came out, mainly Supras, but a few 350Z, NSX, RX7, Skylines, Silvias and others that you see in the pics. All in all, it was a fun event. There were NO cops because this was an organized event complete with hired security patrol. Although the purple chameleon Skyline has gotten into trouble before and was warned by police that if he even started his car and try to drive away, they will impound the car. So the owner called a flatbed to tow it back to his house. sucks for him.

All in all, it was fun, lotta nice cars. the movie was so so... drift scenes were fun to watch. loved the sound in the theatre.

I apologize for the crappy night pics. I didn't have my tripod and did it handheld. boo.

Movie was suprisingly good. It didnt have alot of straight line racing which was not too dissapointing and i wasnt expecting either.

It's worth the $6.50 to go see. Evo, Silvia, Rx-7, Rx8, Skylines and Mustang were sick. So were the 350z's but I'm not crazy about them.

LoL and they got the "Home Improvement" Kid in the movie I thought that was funny. Vin diesel made a nice cameo too. Oh and BoW Wow.....they could have done without.

Only problem, my car is FWD..... so there will be no attempts at learning how to drift.

I saw the movie and walked out half way through....that's right, half way through! The plot was poorly written, the actors were mediocre (at best) and some of the cars were fugly.

I should have went to see Cars..
