Fast & The Furious: Tokyo Drift

cars are cool. acting probably sucks. and alot of excess drama. The movie looks way too "showy". If you've seen the HK live action Initial D movie...you'll probably hate this

Have you seen it? doesn't sound like it

i just got home from it, honestly it was not too bad. there were full size astro vans in the parking lot after the film doing pitiful attempts at drifting. you'd think these things were about to flip over. everybody with a set of four wheels was leaving the theater like a bunch of red suns wannabes.

i thought the movie was much better than the second one, and vin diesel's cameo was pretty cool. if you go into the movie expecting hamlet you'll be let down. if you go into it expecting a semi cheesy popcorn flick with all the requisite cliches, you'll probably like it.

i do feel like an idiot now - what happens after the credits roll?

nothing happens after credits, trust me :(

but the movie was ok, there is no real story until the last 30 minutes, just people drifting

Did anyone noticed that in the beggining when the viper is racing the older car, that the HS kids in the truck were keeping up IN FRONT

the movie was only taped in japan for like 28 days a part of CA was transformed to look like japan really and all these cars were imported even the bad microbuses and taxis and local cars as well....the drift scenes used actual drifters and a lot of money and cars were broken....

from the trailer the acting looks and sounds like ass and when the Japanese people talk in Japanese they have them use really corny accents even though they filmed the entire thing in japan.

i was filmed in Los Angeles. I was invited to park my car as a backdrop with a bunch of other cars as well as be an extra. i respectfuly declined their invite. i didn't wanna have to deal with the crap i would get from my friends.

there is no Z pictured. first car rx-7 second no idea but not z 3rd is an s15

Pic 2 the car you have no idea of what it is, but are sure its not a Z, Geuss what? Its a Z. There are 2 cars in the Pic, the Metalic car (Gun medal, or charcoal, whatever) is a 350Z(Fairlady) with a body kit, its clear as day. The Blue and orange car is a Silvia.

Yeah i learned about that about a week after i posted that and did not care to change it.

Just got home as well. Went with the IPMCSFL club. Movie was definately better than I expected. It had more storyline than expected as well. The drifts made the whole movie worth watching, how come no one noticed Tsuchiya fishing and making side comments. I thought that was cool, as well as the master chick drifter sitting in the skyline while the rx-7 did the donut around her. Both their appearences made it more realistic.

Yeah i was the only one in the theater I was in that noticed those also. I felt like a geek cause i was the only one jumping for joy when i saw them

Just got home from seeing it. I enjoyed it alot. Great sequences but had a bit of fakeness to just like the rest but overall a good movie. It's cool that they brought the mountains into it and how drifting got started, some people really need to know that since they don't even know what drifting is. haha

Guys, it's a movie not a documentary. You are going way too in depth to it. It's made to appeal to the mass of audience that aren't only hardcore import enthusiasts.

Good movie IMO. I enjoied it when they were so much in a rush to leave, they had the time to put on their harnesses (scene right before han dies) o.O

Peace

I seen it last night and it was alright, not as much fake as the second one, no cars jumping over each other. The Vin Diesel cameo at the end made me all warm and fuzzy. If he was in the whole movie instead of Bow Wow then it would've been a huge hit.
