Fast is Stock MP3?

looks nice, and it has the protege5 headlights on it

What's the difference between the P5 headlights and the "other" (not sure what all falls into the "other" category) headlights?

And where is the extra weight on the MP3 vs an ES? The stereo? Front STB? Thicker sway bars? If so, you're really splitting hairs.

That car has the clear headlights, regulars have a grey/black trim inside the plastic. They look nice and are probably newer than stock, so it is a good thing. The taillights are the alzetta taillights. once again, not stock, so newer, less faded. I don't like that style that much, but I don't like the stock tailights all that much anyways. The sidemirrors look lame IMO, but they might be removeable.

Is the MP3 Fast?
Well, if you are talking Top Speed, I have had mine going 120 MPH and it still handled really well and didn't shake. so yeah, it is fast. Does it accelerate well? not really. compared to mustangs, or evos, or even some civics, it isn't very quick at all. At stock it is 0-60 in 8.5 seconds.
The MP3 is very good at handling, it can go through Road and Track's Slalom course, cornering at the same speed as a porsche 911 turbo. If someone beats you on a straight away, you will be able to blow by them on the twisties.

When I bought my MP3 and drove it home from colorado, my brother was driving in his 2004 Mustang GT Convertible, we drove through a lot of mountain roads, and I could keep up with him just cause the MP3 handles better on turns than even that mustang.

Great little car.

Oh wow, I didn't even notice the mirrors, the problem is it's a long drive but I was going to ask my friend to go

An Mp3 isnt going to be beating any modded civics if you keep it stock...I really think that if you can afford to spend 10-11 grand just get a MSP instead. That way you get a quicker turbo car....although you will need to do a few mods to make it run more smoothly. IE. motor mounts, exhaust, upgraded SMIC, maybe a AFC. But honestly the appeal of the MSP and MP3 is mostly their suspensions and good looks. If you want a nice car to ride around in then the MP3 has the nicest looks that you can buy for 6-7 grand used. If you want to smoke some civics go for the added turbo power of an MSP. You get the good looks and a little more go-power.

Or buy the MP3 and spend a extra 4g on a hi-boost turbo which will give you even MORE HP then the MSP.

I dono about everyone else... but i love the style of it... and the side mirrors look nice..

As a sidenote, this car is NOT 100% street legal due to the P5 headlights since they don't have the amber reflector...something to think about.

Those taillights suck too.... ricetastic!

BTW... I no longer have the amber corners either. The PO blacked them out. My entire headlight surround is blacked out.

I just got back from looking at it, hmmm i'm mainly going to base my decision on how bad the place was, the guy there was stupid and said some dumbass s*** plus the head unit didn't work

There are plenty of good forum members selling MSPs here. I say check the vehicles for sale section and you can find some nicely priced and some professionally built cars that a lot of members here will vouch for as good and taken care of rides. I'll try and link some for you in a minute.

Man, that CT one would be really good but I only have up to 10,000 to spend, possibly 11 at the most but it would have to be one hell of a deal.

You could always try to negotiate. Shoot him a message and who knows you might get lucky. He wants 13K but did say he would accept a reasonable offer. I say 11 would be reasonable. And hey if you get that car you would be in good shape...it only has 30,000 some miles!
