hey all, just developed this noise tonight. its a low pictched bass sounding thing when i turn the fan on either 3 or 4 (highest or second highest) it sounds like something is stuck in the fan or something, but im not sure. ideas?
sometimes this happens to me if the fan isn't opened completely all the way....turning the fan duct completly on/off worked for me. Hope that helps
Right now i have something lose that rattles in my dash around the passenger side when its reving around 3000. Sounds like a loose screw but only happens when its cold. When it warms up, i guess the plastic expands and it goes away but its still hella annoying
hey pat, check your heater box. i had this in my chevy malibu. all i had to do was take the glove box out (in that car the heater box was right under/behind the glove box) and REMOVE THE LEAVES that were sucked into it.
so, check the heater box for leaves/other junk...
hope that helps
christy-
I had that same problem. I brought it to the dealer and they pulled out a bunch of leaves that got sucked up in there. No more noise after. Hopefully it's a simple thing like that for you. Good luck.
yeah, and the noise gets louder as the fan gets turned up to 3-4 since its rustling them more. it is nothing more than annoying. sorry, i dont know where the heater box is on this car.
