Fall Meet '05

alright fellas, I hate to say it but fall is approaching (way too fast I might add). I think we should all get together for one last meet before it gets too late. Even if the meet isn't until Oct. I think we could start planning it now so everyone can clear their schedule. I have no idea what date it will be so if you want to throw out dates feel free. Kyle, you can take charge if this if you want, if not could always give it a shot.

I was thinking we could either meet and hang out, or we could meet and then drive somewhere as a mass of msp's. I was kinda thinking of taking the twisties of old hwy 61 south along the river towards Red Wing??? just a thought.

I would actually like a couple more meets before winter.. I have just been quiet because my car is still down. Hopefully this will change soon...
We should have the Mazda 3s by the end of next week so I can bring that

Sounds like a great idea. There is a track day on August 28th @ Rockfalls I believe. That seems a little early for a fall meet though. Count me in.

Imports/Sport Compact Cars


This year we have 8 events scheduled for the Import/Sport Compact Cars. The schedule for Fall 2005 is as follows:

Sunday, August 28
Saturday, September 17
Sunday, October 9 (Rain Date Sunday, October 23)

All races are open to any import/sport compact car.
Time Trials begin at 9 a.m.
Eliminations at 1 p.m.

Cost is just $37 for car & driver -- Race for money or trophies - same price!!
Spectators $10

Win 2 rounds, win a trophy in regular competition.

NEW for 2005 -- Race in the new money class for Sport Compacts and the payout is $100/Win, $50/RU. There is also a free consolation race after 2nd round of regular eliminations which will pay $50/Win, $25/RU. Last 4 competitors in the Consolation Race will win trophies!!

Helmets, Seat Belts & Long Pants are Required -- No Shorts, Nylon Pants or Tank Tops Allowed (Yeah Ryan, that means you).

All drivers must have a valid driver's license. For those under the age of 18, a Minor Release must be obtained and signed by your legal guardian(s)/parents prior to your racing. Only an original Release is valid. Once the Release has been executed by the parents/legal guardians, the Release is good for the entire 2005 racing season. To obtain a Release please call Jennifer at (715) 858-0170. NO ONE under the age of 18 will be allowed to race until an original signed Release is in the Track's possession.

Sunday October 9th is the better fit for me cuz of work reasons. Plus it would give me more time to install my mbc and purchase the dsm afc, but if I don't get the afc by then the boost controller is going in anyways and I'll run at 8-9 psi. My goal is 14.7 or better but I don't know with my bad tires. I guess I'll have to ask Peter how to drive.

I can probably make Aug 28th. I can not make Sept 17th, I have a wedding to attend. Oct 9 also looks the best to me.
