factory boost pressure

I have already read all the other stickies regarding factory boost pressure and they state 6.5 psi. On my msp it is 5 psi sometimes 6. Is this normal?

yes evertones seems to fluctuate. Mine was around 6.9 psi, right where it was supposed to be.

If you want to have fun buy a boost controller.

it will vary with temp, altitude, etc....mine used to peak at only around 6, then i reset the ecu and it now peaks around 7...

mine was 5psi. spiking at 5 1/2

6.8888 here (gotta luv hkpa conversion) i got a .71111 spike from what my blitz dtt says.....i was like wwoooowwww.....2 more weeks til i hook up my mbc

Thanks for the info. The car in general runs flawless considering I have had no flash etc. I haven't noticed any type of hesitation or anything of that nature, but the rear bushings need to be changed. Thanks for the info everyone.

Mine runs 8lbs stock regularly. Only thing installed in the car is boost gauge.

the rest of us got ripped off...we'd have to risk voiding our warranty to get that xtra boost.

I say if some run that stock I could up the boost 1.5 or 2 psi without worrying(thought) (nervous)

By the way, I just installed my boost gauge tonight and the highest I saw it go was 6.5-7, but I didn't hook up the power for the light yet and it was dark so it might have gotten higher, I'll have to check tomorrow.
