Didn't see these elsewhere so I added them here.
Pics of the non-R3 RX-8, RHD and wrong color (Aurora Blue only avail. on R3), but it's exactly the same exterior wise as LHD:

So we're getting the 18" 40th anniversary wheels in silver on all models (no more 16"), and a lip spoiler standard on all MT models, and the Bose adds Centerpoint.

Beautiful! I think I may trade in the MSP (or sell it) in favor of picking up a 2009 RX-8.

Unless something else comes up in the course of the next 8 months to change my mind, this will be my plan. I'm currently trying to decide between the RX-8 GT and a BMW 328i. (I think the 335i is just out of my reach at the moment.)

I just hate the black strip at the top of the grille. Who thought that was a good idea, and what were they smoking? It looks bad on the MS3, and looks worse on this 8!

How many times you gotta say it son? I think we all know, Eric doesn't like the black strip at the top of the new Mazdas lower grills.

It grows on you with the age. It is also added to the 2008 Mazda5

Well, I was looking at the thread again, and the pictures of the front just make me cringe.

Is there a better shot of the front of the Mazdaspeed one, somewhere? In this picture, it kind of looks like they made it all a grill, but it's kind of hard to tell, it's just a big black hole in contrast to the silver around it...

I just checked out the pictures, it doesn't bother me as much on the 5. Probably 'cause there's so much more frontal area, making the black strip a much smaller part, proportionally.

Its on teh regular 3 and the cx7 as well, its Mazdas new facials

Overall just wasted effort just to change something IMO. Seats, floormats, pedals yes. Ebrake handle's a bit much, front is cluttery & not necessarily better except maybe for the splitter thing at the bottom, side maker nonsense, big gaping holes on each side over the top. Back is worse - tail lights yuk, nice factory muffler everybody wants to see yuk. Is it offroad rally model? Needs lift kit & big lightbar on the nose with all terrain tires. Guess that's the best the "snowflake" rims can look but still nah. I think I'll hold out for the 2012 RX-9 thanks. Just looks riced out compared to unupdated ones to me.

Sheesh guys...Did we have a rough week? I admit...the first time I saw the promo pics of the Mazdaspeed version...It seemed a bit too "accessorized" for my taste...I wasn't sure if I liked it at first...BUT after seeing it in person...I must say...It's a real eye-catcher and the promo pics just don't do it justice.
