From what I have heard about extended warranties, they find alot of reasons to deny claims, therefore they are profitable for the warrantor. I think that for the cost of the warranty, you won't spend much over that, if anything on mechanical/electrical/etc failures and/or problems out of pocket. However, if you have AWD, maybe it would save you money over the long run. AWD is expensive to maintain on older vehicles. That AWD American Icon costs Americans big $$$ to maintain the AWD image.
