Expected Gains from Circuit Sports SMIC upgrade

You're not going to make any MAJOR HP gains from a FMIC or a SMIC. The major thing with upgrading it is cooler (denser will add some HP) air and "safer" boosting, and less restrictive airflow. I believe you have to leave the stock SMIC in anyway if you install the FMIC, so to me the added weight of an FMIC (though it is not much) offsets the minimal gain you will be getting from a FMIC as opposed to a QUALITY bolt-on replacement SMIC. I am personally waiting for turbohoses SMIC to come out. ********** has been very good with the hardpipe GB. We ordered them, and are getting them less than a week later! How many group buys have been that quick? He offers free 2-day shipping and gave reasonable prices for quality parts. Quality products and good service = repeat customer (at least to me).

A turn or two of my boost controller will negate any fmic or smic gain. Neither compares to that for real whp!

As long as I am on the road and air is hitting the car, I have no heat soak. That seems to be a problem on dyno runs. BFD!

Upgrading the intercooler makes the power increase, from raising the boost, even higher.

Just throwing out some numbers:

7psi stock = 150 WHP
7psi with upgraded IC = 155 WHP (+5 from the IC)
10psi otherwise stock = 170 WHP
10psi with upgraded IC = 180 WHP (+10 from the IC)

In consideration that a set of hardpipes are about 400 - 600 and the SMIC is about 400 - 500 i dont think you will see that any time soon. The turbohoses hardpipe kit is kick ass though.
