exhuast hole

hello everybody, My exhuast has a hole in it, can it be fixed with a weld job or do i need to get a hole new exhaust. The hole is about a size of a quarter, and it is right before the pipe goes in to the muffle (the axcle back portion).

You can buy muffler repair tape at just about any auto store, but it won't last long. I'm sure there are a hundred people on this board that will sell you their stock exhaust cheap.

have a shop weld it up....piece of cake.

take a can of soda/beer and cut the top and bottom off. then cut down the front of the can so you can wrap it around the exhaust pipe. put two clamps around the top and botton and tighten. did this on my saab's exhaust pipe where you are explainning. lasted a long long time and costed pretty much nothing.
