exhaust smoking problem? *VID*

well, i hate to make this thread, but i figured if i do infact have the problem then other ms3 owners can use my vids to identify their problem.

this is what my ms3 is doing after 5 min of idling...is this what it looks like if your turbo seals are shot? Im bringing it to the dealership reguardless to get checked, but like i said, hopefully this can help others identify the problem.
BTW, exhaust is completely stock but i have a corksport mp and dp in the mail thats waiting to get put on (probably delayed if this is in fact the problem)

If this is the problem that everyone is talking about it looks normal for a turbo car. My Evo did this stock, with a CBE, a TBE. If you smell burning oil....it may be blowby.

My CX7 looks like that all the time if its <40-50F outside. I guess turboed cars react A LOT more to condensation, because all of my previous cars haven't been as bad as the CX7 in lower temps.

Video needs to show the "smoke" wafting away. If it dissipates, it's water. If it doesn't .... That and the color.

Looks like condensation to me. My MS3 does that, my Miata did that with and without a turbo, and my 86 Chrysler New Yorker 2.2 turbo did that. None of them burn(ed) a drop of oil except the Miata when the turbo seal went bad order, and it burned black not blue as it was being dumped into the exhaust not the engine.

People are getting way too paranoid about this smoking issue. It's winter, car's do this. It's been stated several times before, if it's burning oil you'll know that somethings wrong with the car.

Yea that one looks fine. Tint looks good too!

Seals = bluish smoke with a bad bad smell--- and embarrassment.

I got my turbo replaced by mazda 2 weeks ago after driving with horrible smoke for almost 1 month. The smoke coming out of my car at times shot out a couple feet. Once i left the car at idle less then a minute in a parking garage and the security gaurd asked me if my car was on fire because I smoked up a good portion of the garage. It got so bad while driving at around 30mph i could still see the smoke coming out while looking in my rear view mirror. Also was so embarrasing that at long stop lights i would turn off my car. Do if your smoke is that bad then get it replaced LOL.

+1

You should see when I dyno. Its hilarious....

presidents could be elected if they stumped on keeping me away from the dyno...lol

Condensation from where? Just curious. My car has sporadically done this a few times. Mostly after running for over 30 minutes.
This is my first turbo car and I am just trying to understand where exactly condensation exists after 30 minutes of running.

turbo is fine every one has that take car for aspin and take look on other cars they smoke even more all of them, wait copule weeks and chcek it when is hot out side I guarantee turbo its fine

thats what i figured but i get real paranoid for my baby. also, the smoke does smell, but what would it smell like? what kind of smell should i be looking for. if i stand behind the car its a decently strong smell.
