2011 Mazda 3 Hatchback
I have a black 2011 Mazda 3 hatch, I'm now looking at what exhaust to get. If you guys have a preference please list, but here's my question. Could I install or get it installed a Mazdaspeed3 exhaust system? I saw one from ark performance it's call dt-s and it sounds amazing! So I want to get it. If it could happen its going on. I figured I ask before I go to exhaust pros in Jerome st. Bronx NY lol

Arks exhaust system is pretty good. OliverMS3 on mocc got one for test fit and it sounds mean.
Corksports is pretty good for the price or you can go full custom exhaust

I believe ark is only doing exhaust for the ms3.
I would go with corksport, magnaflow or get a custom one.

Oh yea I forgot to mention I also have a apex'i n1 muffler, I was thinking of putting it on but it's single muffler. I don't the mind the single exhaust I look the to it as well. What do you guys think?

1. The Cosworth IM will bolt to the engine but will require machining and welding for the throttle body or a TB spacer made to accommodate the different bolt pattern and a block off plate made for where the Focus IAC mounts. This should be the absolute LAST bolt-on mod you do N/A. You will lose the 2.5L's bottom end power and possibly some mid-range without the proper supporting mods and tune... the 2.5L red-lines at 6200 RPM well short of where you will get the most benefit out of this IM!

2. Don't know....with The MSDS header and CorkSport catback W/factory 2nd Cat still in place on my 2.5L II gained 16.8hp and 13.9TQ peak with a very strong TQ gain from 3k to red-line. The CS Intake was already on for the baseline runs but I would guess 4-5 hp realistically.

3. As far as tuning... you can contact DPTune for a custom flash... or hope that mazdaEdit eventually supports the new gen Mazda3 (dont hold your breath). For a one size fits most tune wait for Hypertech to release something for the 2010+ 2.5L

4. Forget the Ebay turbo kits unless you want to waste your money on junk. Your better off ordering the Tri-Point Engineering kit and modifying it to fit the 2.5L and find a really good Tuner to set you up a piggyback ECU.

I have the ultimate racing speed 3 exhaust on my 2010 mazda3 hatch. It fit with no problem. Pretty much any speed3 exhaust would fit a 3hatch. Ultimate racing sounds great especially with a resonator delete.
