Exhaust.. 'problem'.

So, looked around a bit- haven't seen anything regarding this problem on the forums aside from the Owner's guide posted by member: t3ase.

Driving along a couple of days ago, and boom. Exhaust sounds like a Magnum P.I. Ferrari going crazy. Once I heard the noise I pictured the info note posted by t3ase about the factory exhaust being less than reliable between the first and second catalytic converter in my head. Stopped; looked under the car and sure enough, my exhaust was snapped in *HALF*. Have a look-see. (pow)

The car is running factory boost, all the mounts / bushings are good, and no prior exhaust leaks until that day. It's ridiculous, I know. Headed to a local exhaust shop tomorrow to go ahead and get some pipes custom fabbed from the turbo back I suppose. May get some of those shoddy pipes I ordered with the FMIC kit one-piped as well, rather than having to use 5 couplers at each bend. (protest)

that happened to me as well. even though your mounts are still good they are way to soft. i would just upgrade them

Good deal, thanks for the suggestion. Quite a few things on the to-do list already, think I will just add that right now.

same thing happend to my exhaust just took it to the muffler shop and they welded it back for 80$

Yeah, went to the exhaust shop today, just had what was there re-welded for $10 and cleared CEL to boot. Now, on with the list.

Haha yeah, already on the top of the list. Thinking of a full mount set, or maybe get the front 88 Duro and a torque dampener. Not so sure yet. Believe bushings and a turbo timer is in order. Usually order something every week or so, so this week will be Mounts and turbo timer i'm thinking.

It's a comon issue. IDK if the welds are to weak or if the cat being clogged over heats the pipe to much but I've seen that more on the MSP than any other car. Mazda fail!
