Exhaust Help!!

Ok, Now I just got my Mazdaspeed catback in the mail today. I jack up my P5 to install it. I'm thinking this shouldnt take more than an hour or so since its just a bolt on to the stock exhaust.

WRONG!

Whatever MORON owned this car before me decided to weld the stock catback to the pipe that goes from the cat to the catback. Not ONLY did he weld that, he even welded that same custom straight pipe to the cat!

Now its 530pm on a friday night and I have nothing to do and a useless Mazdaspeed catback to look at.

Can you all give me a hand and help me figure out what my options are here?

Should I just find someplace that will make me a straight pipe and replace the whole damn cat/long pipe and bolt onto my mazdaspeed catback?

Should I head to the local muffler shop and have them cut the long pipe and weld on a new female bolt-on connector?

AAAAARRRRRRRGGG!!!

see if a place can break the weld...if not, have them weld the catback on prolly cost you like 10 bucks to have done.
