Exhaust/Header Help...

Hello...i recently installed headers into my 3...theres these two orange rubber holders that hold the flex pipe...and as i accelerate my car i hear a knocking...could this be due to the fact that i may have to move the rubber holders more inward or outward to hold the flex pipe straighter?...or does that have nothing to do with it?

when you say rubber holders... do you mean the exhaust hangers?

and yes that "knocking" your hearing is probably from the pipe slamming on something.

and btw knocking is an actual car problem, and what your hearing isnt actual knocking...

they are the two hangers holding up the flex pipe dont know if they the same that hold the exhaust in the back...

they are still called exhaust hangers.

that exhaust starts at the header.

the stock header was probably mounted to parts of teh chassis right? with braces? with those braces gone from the new header making the exhaust system less rigid.

get some urethane exhaust hangers. that willl probably help
