exhaust gas in cabin???

good day mates

I have a 2006 speed 6 with corksport dp, cp-3 dual exhaust (stock mid pipe/cat) & AEM CAI. Lately i am smelling exhaust gas inside the cabin and i did a test today for CO2, and the highest numbers read 464 (which according to the manual can be fatal if in it for 3 hours or longer). i have ordered a corksport cat race pipe which should be installed on saturday, but meanwhile i need to get this fix. it will be taken to a muffler shop to see if they can find something soon.
i'm not a mechanic or engineer, but common sense leads me to either the dp not installed correctly and leaking, gas coming in via firewall, or exhaust leaking somewhere near something which is allowing alot of exhaust gas to get in the cabin.

has anyone had any such experience, or has mazda has any recalls on anything close to this?

Hello ppe4life. I am having the same issue as you. How did you solve it? What caused the smell of gas in the cabin for you? I need to solve this soon, or else my fiancee is going to have my head.... the smells are giving her a headache, not to say also that they are not healthy.

I get the gas smell mainly if I run my MSP 6 really hard and then stop...but sometimes running her lightly and then stopping at the red light I will smell gas as well.... How and where did you do a test for CO2? Any help is much appreciated.
