Evo8 -> Mazda3 Now what?

Hey guys! I made the move from my '03 Evo 8 to my '06 Mazda 3 yesterday and I am hot on the trail to getting this thing tuned/modded!

Im sure you guys are aware that the Evo scene is hot and heavy and I am hoping to find the Mazda 3 scene to be that way as well. After some (short) poking around I would like some direction or inspiration from you guys on what can be achieved or where the sweet spot is on the 3.

I am looking at the Draxas exhaust and an Injen intake to start it all off, but I would like a nice body kit and wheels as well. As for other power/performance parts what/who's out there?

Thats true, I over looked that possibility. They have been around for 2 years now.

I really can't see the point of swapping out of an evo to mod up a 3 though. Its certainly not a cost effective path.

Although, he has only mentioned basic bolt on mods. Perhaps he was in my boat and just wants the 3 to be livable.

hehehe Well there is a method to my madness. I lemoned my Evo because of tranny problems (52 days in the shop in 11 mos.). I am also in the process of moving so the extra cash from the Evo will help.

**EDIT** Also the Evo was awesome! You're right. I had it lightly modded and was a good 310 whp. I'm not looking to replace my Evo, just needed to get a new car. The 3 is likely only temporary, but we will see. **EDIT**
