kylenls said:hey man i admitted they were faster than me and most other cars, but that doesnt mean i have to like them. and being a car enthusiast has nothing to do w/ repecting every car if some suck.....ahem like the srt, but anyways there is no point in trying to keep up w/ the stupid horse power numbers they put out especially when they come with close to 100 horse power more than the msp, so i dont know why you would even state that all i said is that the srt is going to bite the dust and hard, mark my words they will. and im not sure who said that the block was tested to 1000 horse power, but come on man are you absolutley stupid no way on this earth is that possible i have heard of very little stock factory cars blocks being able to handle that much and even those cars cost more than you ever hope to afford! so i'll tell you what somebody try it and see what happens, i dare ya!
First off, for everyone with insecurity problems - Yes it's a Neon, so what? I'm not afraid to admit where it came from. Ever hear of the GLH?
Now, this dude above - LMAO. It's going to bite the dust hard? Hold on, isn't there like a 1000+ hp SRT-4 Drag car using the stock crank, stock rods, and stock coil-pack? I could go get the magazine if you want man. Shaun Carlson (the driver) states how incredibly reliable the engine is. The engine is so durable the turbo is having a tough time keeping up, as someone already stated.
Currently, there's an SRT-4 in Texas making close to 450 whp w/ a boost leak, so 500 whp here we come. And that's with stock crank, stock pistons, stock rods, all stock internals. And he's going to keep pushing the car until it's limits of the stock internals - then he'll post the details, and continue building the engine up. Beautiful.
And just keep in mind; I love the MSP, and was in contact to by one if my local dealer didn't receive an SRT-4. What sold me on the SRT-4, was that it's much easier to upgrade the handling performance of the SRT-4, than the motor of the MSP. And I still haven't seen an MSP in person yet. Anyone near Westchester, New York? I'd love to experience the ungodly handling performance of the MSP.

It's only a Neon until you get beat by one; then it's an SRT-4.
