Yea Tru, any more info??
I've only heard of TRZ planning to come out with a liquid-to-air intercooler...
Since I haven't been able to get any more info other than rumors, I went with ETS TMIC; didn't feel like waiting an eternity to mod my car. Plus, a liquid-to-air intercooler will require plumbing, a pump, tank, and a second small radiator to cool off the liquid/water. All the added weight and work, forget about it... I'll stick to my simple ETS install... (2thumbs)
the liquid to air IC was canned.... not a big difference for so much extra weight and hassle. There was a lot of hype about it, but when they found out it wouldnt work and gave up on it, the only announcement was a one line post is some random thread, lol
also the competition reuses the stock cold pipe. that is the piece that connects the IC to the throttle body. let mt tell you this, that piece is 100% crap. in one spot just below the IC it flattens out to a 1" opening ! the TRZ piece is going to replace that entire tube with a nice free flowing pipe.
that is the 1 piece that sets it apart from al the comp. even the auto exe resues that piece, and if you have ever looked inside that thing, you will agree..... it needs to go ! i will post the results and pics when i get the final prototype in my hands.
the 06 MS3 uses a totally different pipe than all the 07 mzr's. TRZ is going to make the IC fit all of mzr cars, so it needs a little extra attention.
after seen several ETS IC's i can promise the fit and finish will be far better. also all the end tanks will be constructed of laser cut, hand welded endtanks. not just off the shelf generic end tanks the competition uses on their 3.25 & 3.5" IC's.

well, i was at first told by the end of this month, but you know how these things go. he had to jump to another "in shop" project for a while, that was a little set back. plus the cold pipe section is a little complicated. the 06 MS3 uses a totally different pipe than all the 07 mzr's. TRZ is going to make the IC fit all of mzr cars, so it needs a little extra attention. most likely the IC will include a new rubber/silicone coupler to connect the pipe to the TB. the reason the stock pipe flattens out is because there isnt o whole hell of a lot of room to work with. i think the IC out let is gooing to be mover more to the front/center of the endtand rather than off to the driver side like it is stock. this gives a little more clearance to run a wider more open pipe. so all in all, i can only say soon enough. very soon.
I appreciate all the participation you guys have. so chamber efficiency is the same but fin area increases. solved it for me 3.5 any issues w install, ets said direct bolt on
