I can't seem to find the thread with the info in it.. What was that fuel additive that was giving someone much improved mpg's with each tank?

Thanks!

I'm using Mix-I-Go as well and have gotten up to 48 mpg on an all highway tank. My normal for mixed, somewhat spirited driving is between 39-42. Although I have found that the additive is only as good as the pump gas you start with. There are a couple of Phillips 66 stations around my area that even with the Mix-I-Go I only get about 34 mpg.

So what's the general consensus on quality gas? Shell? I use Shell 87 exclusively and put up about 37 mpg average. Not to shabby for how hilly my area is.

I use Quik Trip whenever possible because I consistently get 3-5 mpg better out of their gas, but it's out of my way to fuel there so I frequently use Kum & Go because after using everything locally I get the best mileage out of those 2 brands. BP has never been disappointing, but most of the BP stations in Omaha are owned by a company that after working for I refuse to support by shopping with them. Phillips 66 has been consistently 5 mpg or more worse so I avoid any Conoco/Phillips stations. We don't have many Shell stations in my part of Omaha, so I don't know about them. Also don't have Exxon/Mobil stations around me so I can't speak from experience with either of those.
