erebuni grill

here's the grill i've been looking at. it says it needs some modding to get it to fit right, which i'm prepared to do. however, i've seen the mintblue replica and it doesn't look as good on a real car as compared to what is shown on the erebuni site. also, i've read third party accounts that there are fitment issues with the hood not closing all the way with this grill. if anyone has this grill, please chime in and let me know how it is. i'm thinking about selling my DG one for this piece.

I have the same grill but without the badge.

I took it to a professional to get it fit and painted. All in all, it ended up costing me much less than the real MB grill. However, I didn't have enough skill to fix it on my own.

Some people have managed to get some that fit semi-decently. As in, some mashing of the hood will eventually close it but the grill sticks out and its difficult to open the hood.

In my case, I could close the hood but then not re-open it.

and senorcorwin, the red car you speak of is the full on MB car, right? cause if it is, it doesn't have the grill anymore. it was at protegefest and the pics i've seen of it has the autoEXE style grill. anyway, i'm just seeing if this is worth it. the DG one just has an anonying gap, but if this one is a PIA to work with, then i'll pass and live with the gap.

nah, mine's not painted yet. it's still hanging out in my closet waiting to get painted. i even have the mesh from the lower grill trimmed to fit. another mazdasports member has called dibs on it, but i'll let you know if he backs out. oh, do you have pics of your grill installed? i'd love to see what it looks like. thanks!

the only red and bronze one i know of who has the mintblue grill is rawny. his has two bars. the one i want only has one horizontal bar in the middle and has the mazda emblem. looks just like the mazda3 grill, and i like that grill a lot.

Nobody has updated this for a while, has anyone fitted this grill (gr258) yet? I like the look of the one shown below but not the fit, I would not be happy with those un-even gaps. (sorry)
