Enkei RSF5 or Advanti Hybris wheel for the winter use

:
CX-5, fwd auto
I am trying to decide if either the Enkei or Advanti wheels above would be more durable for winter use. (I might use it year round)
I do not think both are winter rates per se, so any comment will be great.
I am trying to find a relatively light wheel (under 20 lb) at reasonable $150 USD price.
The tirerack has Moda wheels, but it looks like really soft wheels, and I do not want to take a chance.
Thank you

I'm hoping that you're looking at the black finish for either wheel - machined with clearcoat is not a good choice for a winter wheel. You could also go with the hyper silver on the Enkei, but since that wasn't an option on the Advanti, I'd guess that it wasn't your first choice. As far as which wheel is more structurally sound, I'd have to say the Enkei, mostly owing to the fact that it's about four pounds heavier in the 17" size.

Last winter was my first using dedicated winter wheels. I went with a Velox Spyder with hyper silver finish - Velox calls them (and all their wheels with that finish) as being good for winter use. I was happy, as the finish did a good job of shedding salt and other winter crud.

Oh, and I'd avoid Moda like the plague for winter use. I have a friend who had bad corrosion issues on a set of BBS wheels, and that should be your primary concern for winter use.

Thank you so much for your info. I am leaning towards Enkei as it is heavier and should be sturdier too. I prefer silver colour, so I may go with Hyper silver. Thanks again.
