Will these fit with no rubbing issues on the ms3? Enkei makes the ekm3 wheel in a 45 offset, but only in a 5x112 bolt pattern. They also make a 45 offset 18x7.5 wheel as well, but i want to go 18x8 so ican get as much grip as I can. Ive heard that 45 offset with 18x8 wheels are good to go..but how would a 40 offset do?? Thanks

Real handy page on the 1010tires site- Wheel Offset Calculator.

I have read that our stock wheel offset is 52mm. If that is correct, then going 18x8 with a 40 offset will be fine on the inner edge, as it will only be 1mm closer to the struts, etc. On the outer edge, you will stick out 1 inch further.

Of course, this also depends on how wide fo a tire you throw on there. Wider tires will flare out further beyond the wheel, etc. I'm sure someone is running 18x8 with an offset in that nieghborhood, though, so you'll get a firsthand account before long.

i put some Tenzo wheels from a previous car on mine last week for auto-x, they are 18x8 with 45mm, running 225/40 on H&R springs, fit is good, no rubbing at all. the extra 5mm might get you into the edge tho, depending on tire.

I have BBS RG-R 18x8 ET40+ (with 225/45-18 tires) on my car currently. With only myself or one other person in the car I was perfectly fine. No rubbing, nothing.

However once I had any weight in the hatch or backseat (2 other people, or a dog in the hatch) I completely destroyed a portion of my rear fenders on both sides any time I hit any small dip in the road or went over a speed bump.

I got them fixed and rolled and so far, so good.

I hope that helps. :)

That helps alot laraw...my car is a dd and i do have small kids that go in the back sometimes, so this poses a prablem. ummm Is there a prefered tire that wheel go on that wheel that will keep my from rubbing, ofcourse the plan is to put the stock potenza tires on them right away. I really wanna stay away from rolling the fenders..mazda sure made this a pain in the ass car to go wider than stock.

I honestly do not recommend this setup without rolling the fenders... especially if you are going to be hauling around kids and all of their accessories (strollers, bags, etc. etc.).

I run 18x8 40et BBS LM with the stock Potenzas. It never rubbed until a few weeks ago. Was doing some quick turns with 2 passengers and it just slightly knicked my drivers rear tire. I am on BC coilovers and also run a Cobb rear sway which probably has a lot to do with me not rubbing. I will be going to a 225/40 in the next few months when I need new tires and I will be rolling my fenders to go along with it.

Yeah when I destroyed my rear fenders I was on stock suspension (still am, lol). >_<

Roll the fenders for sure. These wheels look badass!

Im not quite understanding exactly what these numbers mean. How can I tell if my wheel fits right?

For the wheels I put up the numbers are

inner: 4mm MORE
Outer: EXTEND an extra 30mm

The new wheel will be closer to your vehicle by 4mm and the outside of the wheel will stick out 30mm closer towards your fender. That is alot, most likely you will require fender rolling etc.

ok. How much room is there on the inside until it maxes out?

What else would there be to do besides fender rolling?

side note: Im not exactly sure of the specs on these wheels cause I havent found one in our bolt pattern yet, or atleast in size 18 so it may change

Sorry not too sure how much room there is on the inner. Maybe someone else knows?
You can get the Enkei EKM3 in 18x8 5-114.3 40 offset, or in the 18x7.5 5-114.3 45 offset. They are listed here http://www.1010tires.com/wheel.asp?wheelbrand=Enkei&wheelmodel=EKM3

ah no, these arent the wheels im looking at, just saw the post and was confused.

Im trying to find BBS LM replicas. Id love the real things, but I just cant see myself paying 4000 for a set of wheels

edit: Found out they are all used. But why are they all staggered?
Do you think a 18x9+40 and 18x8+40 would work? seems pretty wide

They are used because RB specializes in used wheels. You said you didn't want to pay 4k for a set of LM's, here's how you get your LM's and not pay 4k for them.

Keep your eyes open, non staggered sets do pop up every now and then. You could also call and talk about them possibly splitting a set.

EDIT: Where do you live? I may have a proposition for you.

I'm in SoCAl.

Problem is I wouldnt be able to get the wheels til end of summer

I'm on the opposite coast anyway. I want 9 inch barrels for my LM's. I am really in love with my purple centers but I want moar dish/flush. I'm gonna call up RB on Monday and talk about trading my 8 inch barrels for some 9 inch ones. If that's possible.
