Engine light and battery light on?

wats goin on ladies and gents...a few questions i installed 6k H.I.D'S wasnt too bad, just a bit labour...however if i start my car and have the lights on low-beam or just drive in the daytime without having the lights on, my H.I.D's keep strobbing like an undercover cop non stop until i actually turn the H.I.D'S on. As well if i have the car in "park" or just in neutral at stand still with my lights off and e-break down they will keep strobbing, however if i put ma e-break up just a notch the lights stop strobbing. Any advice what may be the cause?
Second question---> that same dai i as well took my stock air filer out and put in a "RACTIVE HEAT SHIELD FILTER" (honestly its like plug and play) the car runs fine....but the second i installed these two components my engine light and battery light on my dash turned on...any suggestions why that happened? ...........Thx for the help

get the codes pulled first.

you might be pulling a lot more current with the HID setup, putting a strain on the alternator? make sure your wiring harnesses to the lights aren't melted.

I don't understand people's obsession with these damn light setups, the P5 stock setup is excellent compared to most cars on the road.
