i know alot of people asked about engine kocking..

and this is real bad...i changed the oil and everything and it still knocks.

when i felt the top of the head i could feel the knicking come from the top...

please answer asap...

with a good answer...i read the others and didnt give me the right answer...
so please let me know asap.... thank you.

rebuild that motor... could be anything... but definitely an internal problem... bad rod bearing most likely...

had a ticking problem and end result = blown motor (i can post pics of the carnage)

btw you in honolulu now... i think i've seen you at the mall before but then again i could be just imagining it

i use to live in hawaii...
i was the red pro 5 in rated r.

but other then that homie...i dont think its blown.

my engine starts theirs no engine check lights on...
and it only started to do that after i washed my car....it was all fine. i rebuilt the trans and everything it was sooo good...

now its knocking...

wtf. like i can really hear it on the case....and i can feel it hitting it...
what else do u think it is.

bad lifters? but i don't think it would cause that bad of a knock... sure misfire but a misfire should cause that much of a knock either and besides if it was a misfire the ECU would recognize it and throw a code....

idk the only experience if have with a ticking/knocking sound ended up being a bad rod bearing... and like i said my end result was two large holes in my block...

don't let it go untreated...

i took the valve cover off...lifters look fine...

now im beginning to believe it is the rod bearings...

and changing the rod bearings i would have to the block out of the car...

right?

im really not sure... but i do believe there accessible through the bottom of the block... would have to consult the shop manual

ok...well shooot...its badd

i guess i'd have to buy new rods..

you think it would be easier if i bought a motor?

and if so. could i get a mazdaspeed protege motor?

wish i could get a mazdaspeed motor... kinda hard to find spares here in hawaii... average price for a shop to do a motorswap is $800-$1100... i watched my friends do mine and it didn't look to hard at all...

probably cheaper to just get new bearings... but first you need to pinpoint the actual problem which is the hard part without opening up the block

well i mean.

i found a couple mazda speed motors here...running for 800-900 in goo condtion.

i got a shop who does sawps soo i aint trippin too much..

do the speed motor you lucky bastard :) ... for $800-$900 that's pretty cheap considering a rebuild with forged internals would cost more than that

thats what i mean...
what do u think i need after the motor.

ecu?
gauges?
intercooler?
any thing else to add
