(Bump)
No new info yet. I have recieved a PM asking for the dimensions of the new MM bracket. I will take them soon!

Peace

I will be mailing back my old motor mount on Tuesday. I need to find out about sending back the bracket that has issues with bending.

Peace

This is chris w from weapon-r. I know you received the new bracket back on the 14th as stated in your email to me. please email me if you have any problems.

I have not recieved anything yet. Last Tuesday I shipped out the old bracket with the package/label that you sent to me. I have not recieved bracket or screws requested.

"Sorry for the delay we have been at SEMA all last week. we have the new bracket ready to go for you. You have 2 options. SEnd back the original bracket to us so we can exchange it for the new one. second we can send you a tag to you so we can have the braket shipped back to us. Here is 2 pics of the new bracket to asure you that we have fixed the problem. the bottom is now smooth as well it will sit flush with your motor mounts."

"I would need some info from you to get this taken care of ASAP. please email me your full address so i can email you the call tag. This will get the bracket back to us first so i can send you out the replacement. I will take care of you on the lost hardware ill resend it to you once the other bracket is back here."

The package had no bracket in it if you sent it with the label and package.

Chris

PS. Thank you for taking the time out to respond to this matter on forums.

Sorry for the confusion the bracket is on its way. It should have been sent with the call tag we sent you. Our accountant improperly sent only the tag. Rest assured the new bracket is on its way.

I have recieved my new bracket today with some extra goodies (stickers and a lanyard). Thanks Chris for straightening out everything. I will be installing this later on this weekend I hope. I will also take pictures of everything recieved.

Peace

allright here is the situation i find myself in now. my bracket is bending and their is some rust by the bend. but it has not bent anymore then it did after the initial day of driving. i already cut the s*** out of my cruise control bracket to get the dampner to fit so i guess i dont need the new v bracket. anyway my question is ...........weaponrcs.......i just found out i am leaving for iraq on monday so their is no time for me to send u anything. will u take my bent bracket back in abt 95 days when i return in exchange for the newly designed L looking bracket?

Dang, sorry to hear that you are leaving. Best bet would be to call them, but I doubt they will be open on the weekend. Just incase though: 650-877-8280 ext. 4 - Chris. Hope everything gets worked out for you. Do you use your cruise control a lot? I removed mine thats why. seeing your a car show person also, it would be nice to free up a little space in the motor.

Peace

ya i should just remove it since i have a sparco wheel now and i have been too lazy to custom mount the controls for the cruise. i probally will remove it when i get back. what was wrong with ur V looking bracket then? i thought the problem was that cruise bracket

Oh, nothing wrong w/the V bracket, my motor mount (L bracket) was the problem...

and still is.

I need to widen the holes on the L-bracket or else the damper won't fit. At this point, I don't really care. Weapon-R did all they could, so I guess I have to do a little fabbing.

Peace

ya my l bracket i had to widen the holes as well, plus buy a new nut to fit on the fwd stud since the stock one was too wide........... is the new L braket more reinforced to control the bending?

I'm not too sure about it being more supportive.
Here is how the new bracket looks:

You can kind of see how there is more support on the upper half of the L-Bracket. Whether it works or not, I have no idea yet.

This is the same problem from before I am having when I install the bracket flush to the motor mount. If I don't sit it flush, then I can put the damper on fine, but that isn't too safe IMO. Both OEM nuts that hold the motor mount in place can be used with this bracket.

but the bending stops, i thought i would have broken mine by now but it wont break........so it withstands a t3/t04 at 15psi..............

I hope since it can withstand all the pressure with your turbo that it doesn't bend with my motor.

Peace

What do you mean widening of the holes? Is it the bolt pattern doesnt match up to your motor mount properlly? Did your original bracket that was bending have the same problem? Just a few questions i would like answered to see what i can do to help out further. If iwould have know i could have made the holes larger. Either case let me know i will see what i can do.
