Engine color

Im in the same boat as everyone here. Im about to paint my calipers, rotor hubs and drums. Then at a later time, paint my valve cover (assuming of course someone like DG Motorsports doesn't come out with one for the ZM-DE), intake and exhaust manis, heat shield, fuse box, and radiator shroud. Let me run this scenerio by you all:

I have an emerald green mica sedan. The primary color is emerald green mica and the secondary is black mica. I have neon green LEDs under the car. Gloss black wheels (hence the black mica as secondary color) with chrome lip.

Now, should I paint the calipers and drums a green to match the car or neon green to go with the LED undercar kit. The rotor hubs will be black to match up with the wheels.

As far as the engine goes, everything I mentioned will probably be painted red to match my Injen CAI and its accompanying filter. Unless I change direction and paint it all silver to match a graphics package I have for my car.

Whatcha all think? Opinions/Comments/Ideas?

silver and blue are good combinations. Silver and red are as well.

I'm thinking of doing my brake calipers in yellow, as I really like how mp3architecht's look. Then I'll probably end up doing the valve cover in yellow. Of course you know that means I'll also have to repaint the strut bar from red to yellow. arg!

drums black please ... and please dont paint the calipers NEON GREEN

Why should the drums be black? Just out of curiousity? Maybe I was a little misleading about the green. They won't be a NEON green, but they will be green green. I can't find a green to match my car, so I might use the green that G2 offers. Their's is a dark green....something like a hunter green sorta. Green during the day and almost black at night.

What do you all think about the engine color combo? Should I go with the red or maybe a silver/chrome color to match the piping on the CAI?

No silver or chrome paint looks good. Maybe polished and clear coat that doesn't turn color on you.

Yeah, thats true. Ive never seen a chrome or silver paint or even paint scheme that I've liked. If I wanted chrome, Id just polish everything.

For chrome you would have to have it plated by a shop. Polished is not as reflective. Like the difference between a chrome wheel and a polished aluminum wheel.

Ive since decided that Im going with a red scheme under the hood. The calipers and drums will be green. My rotor hubs are going to either by silver or black.

Technically, what color is sandlewood metallic close to? Maybe you can do a contrasting thing. Like since your car is pretty light (from what I can see), why don't you do something a bit darker? Not black or anything like that, but maybe..... dark red or something. Or you could always go brighter and have something vibrant. Maybe a yellow or orange or something along those lines. I doubt you'll find anything like your color since its so "unique". It's time to think outside the box and do something bold. Whatcha think?

i think i am going paint shopping... lol

I've got my paint sitting in my car but i need to clean the thingy and paint it all black, then sand the logo and hand paint the logo red.

shane just got with something subtle like black opr just polished ... unless u trying to take it to shows and s***

Unless you want a ricemobile.....

Powdercoat (not paint) the valve cover black or the exterior color of your car.

Please don't paint all the other stuff and get wierd color hoses. It looks very tacky. I don't understand how that would get any points in a show.

Just because it is there, doesn't mean is should be painted.

i have red.
