Endlink Questions

I iz a bit of a suspension noob.. and I've heard very little real input on the AWR adjustable rear endlinks. I'm looking to stiffen up the rear end of my car a bit, will these help in any way?

Has anyone noticed anything substantial with them?

These will be combined with my Cobb RSB and BC coilovers, for what it's worth.

I'm open to any input, whether or not you have experienced any big difference from them. Thanks!

I think you'd be happier if you went with rear bracing. Either trunk or under car. The endlinks aren't meant to stiffen up the car at all but are meant to adjust for preload.

Endlinks can stiffen up the lateral weight transfer in the back of the car, but only to a certain degree. I'm going to go ahead and assume you already have the RSB set on full still, so we'll skip that. Endlinks work much the same way the holes on your RSB do, changing the angle of the bar in relation to the car, which affects how rigid it is. I've seen your setup before.... are you still running ridiculous camber on those wide freakin rotas? While it looked badass, IIRC, you had those stretched to all getout... and that's going to affect the rear end too.

I guess the BIG question is, what is it about stiffening up the rear end are you looking for? If you have the RSB, it should be pretty rockin.... I would look into maybe a rear tower bar, or perhaps some more aggressive shocks/springs.

I do have a Cobb RSB on full stiff. I'm on stock rims right now, but still running a bit of camber. I'm at about -2.5* all of the way around. I'm really thinking about one of the GTspec trunk cages... I just haven't heard to many reviews that really justify it. I've got stiffer springs for my rear coilovers on order with BC, should have them next week.

What is your end handling goal? I'm assuming that you're trying to make the car rotated better, but want more info. Not sure I'd want a car that is stiffer in the rear than yours, but I spend a lot of time in the snow during the winter and you don't.

Mad, I have a set of AWR endlinks and Progress Rear Sway Bar sitting upstars in my room...going to be mounted saturday along with my mag blue rota's and 235/40/18 falken rt-615's! :) I will write up a personal review after everything is on this weekend.

Correct, I'm looking to get rid of some of this understeer. The roads here are nice and I see nothing colder than 45* =)

MM- you know im looking forward to it.

You took a lot of the limit oversteer out of the car when you went with the coils. A big part of the problem with the ms3 is that it's undersprung/damped at the front end. When you lay into those volvo binders, it unloads the rear end, and she rotates like a champ. RSB is a great way to get that back, and endlinks can help, giving you the additional stiff that you want. I have full Hotchkis bars all the way around, and IMO even on stock everything else, she handles freakin' AWESOME.

bump.. anyone else have any input? I realize that they will adjust for preload, but I don't really understand the concept.. what effect will the preload or lack of have on the car?
