End of the dream.....

I think I'm going to start pulling my starter fuse whenever I park... They won't get far without that.

You're from Canada right? How many does that make in a few months from there now??

Statisically, they should find your car within a week. A) because it's probably easy to spot (let's face it, not every car looks like a MSP). and B) they usually can recover a stolen vehicle if it's found locally, within that time frame.

Just pray they didnt take it to a chop shop, it's not left the area and they don't know it's a limited production car.

best thing to do is to splice into the fuel pump harness from the rear onto a on/off switch and wire it into the cabin, well hidden of course. by the way sorry bro for your misfortune, and i hope the fuckers get what they deserve (dark)

i'd like to find a rememdy for this that still allowed use of a turbo timer. because if you turn off yur car and the TT is running, then cut off the fuel pump and... uhh.. that would probably be bad??

I'm sorry to hear about your car. I hope everything works out the best for you . i have had may nightmares about this type of thing, i try not to worry about it..im thinking about turning up the boost when i leave it in a lot so if they try to get away it wont make it very far b4 it blows up lol
I think that would look mighty suspicious to the insurance people. Plus would you really want your car after it was stolen, especially with a blown engine and who knows what else? I wouldnt...

have your tt power a contactor that keeps the fuel pump going. wire your cut-off switch in parralel to that contactor. when you leave your car, turn the switch off, the contactor maintains the circuit across your pump, and when the tt shuts off, so does your contactor: the pump is electrically isolated...

i'm not worried about the blown engine, they can always order another one. what worries me is the potential damage to the chassis/suspension. since i'd keep all the parts, i can always rebuild the old engine over time assuming the block and crankshaft isn't out of specs...

Damn! I guess I should consider myself lucky to still have mine!!! My car is parked 75% of the time outside and out of view from people on the street.... but then again, I guess that an Orange car is easier to spot!

Not to be the pessimistic one, but I doubt they will find it... the MSP 2003.5 without the wing and front bumper is not that much different then the other Proteges... and it will most probably be sold in pieces...

it's probably chopped already anyway... (dark) (pissed) (bang) (notcool) (flame) (gun) (pissed) (sad1) (doughpoke (chair)

sorry to hear bout that...anybody that would **** with someones car is the lowest form of snailshit on Earth..aan theives dont even rate. If you found part of the lock that means they were not only theives but ignorant ones as well, anybody with any sense can get the tools to open any car without damage, usually faster( I got em all, for work)..the good part to that is that being stupid makes it easier for em to screw up an get caught, hopefully youl get it back soon, even though cops never seems to care to much bout stolen cars

theives are too well organized up here, amateurs or not. plus the shopping mall was next to three major highways, so they may have taken off in any direction...

as for the cops, well the one they sent us was convinced we had it parked elsewhere... so no they couldn't care less
