So I just heard from MP3SkaterNC,
He didn't say much, just that while trying to tune to 12psi something happened. I don't know what yet. All I know is that it's misfiring. I'll let him explain in more detail once he gets a chance to.

he didn't blow a motor did he? that would suck. Also, lets not jump the gun and blame the emanage, i doubt its 100% at fault if something went wrong...

True, but he did specifically tell me not to get an emanage. I just assuming something went majorly wrong with the piggyback.

yea, probably just did not work with the protege ecu, thats all...the emanage is a good unit if it works right. Also has to be wired correctly for it to work, im not saying he wired it wrong, but its always a possibility.

Its also kind of strange that he's been running 8psi with it for a few months now with no problems. So I don't think its a wiring problem. He needs to get his ass on here so we can know whats up.

ahh so he turned it up to 12 and had problems? ya that is understandable then, was he using the stock fuel setup?

WOW, jump to conclusions much?

Nothing bad like blown motors and such, just me, being pissed, and the emanage/fm voltage clamp/ my car/ the world not going right today for some reason.

Went to Va today to get it tuned for 12psi with timing retard and BIGGER INJECTORS along with my Walbro 255lpm fuel pump (im not an idiot jeff). We started working on the car and everything was going fine, my map for 4 months ago was holding great, and I had a nice 11.1-11.6 afr all though boost. We reset the ecu and did some other things, and it seemed as if the car was not holding the settings or something along those lines. The car never got to see 12psi, because as soon as we reset the ecu (which ive done many times before in the past 4 months, just disconnecting the battery to do basic work on the car), the car began to pull fuel. Me and Terry get pissed, blah blah blah etc.

Fast forward to later tonight when I get back to NC.

Me, being extremely pissed that the car isn't working right anymore, get online and b**** about the emanage to a few people, then go out and start putting my fmu back into the car. So the fmu is back in the car, I go for alittle ride, and guess what is happening. With the fmu, boost at 4psi, the car is pulling fuel before it goes into open loop. It hit as high as 13.6 before wot, so something was definately wrong. So evidently, the FM voltage o2 modifier thing is ******. Causing the problems with the emanage, and just driving with the fmu hooked up.

So I guess its time to get another FM clamp, and go for emanage battle round 3 soon.

Do you read anything in the engine management forum? Such as the emanage sticky?

no, unfortunately, i don't have alot of time to read here, i just browse recent chat on the right hand side when im on and post. Obviously you could tell from my questions that were probably answer in those threads im guessing.

yes, i definately know how that feels, like today i fixed the leak in my downpipe, and after an hour drive, it was leaking again, i was so upset i wanted to sell the car(again) but after a few hours i got over it and will fix it tomorow. Obviously this is a small thing compared to what you are going through but i still know what its like =)

lol so i guess you really didnt fix the leak...LOL!!! sorry dude, i had to say it. its been a good one for me.

haha, yes, ok i "thought" i fixed it, but the bolts to the d/p - turbine housing just keep backing out, im going to have to really do something differnet then just putting new bolts in this time. anyone have any ideas?

nah, don't want to weld it though, would be too hard to take it off when i need to work on the turbo, etc..i might try an extra gasket, but i don't know if that will help or make it worse, is there something i could put on the bolts so they don't back out? i have heard of stuff you put on the bolts for this, but i forget what it is called...
