Emanage Library

so besides the e-manage unit its self what else do you need to get the e-manage up and running?? is there any other optional parts that need to be purchased to get it up and running

Bump...I think we have a few sucess stories yet no write up!

So who has sucessfully runed emanage and has a base map for use to use?

You mean this one?

doesnt really show instructiosn just progess....thanks for being one of the pioneers of emanage with Orangezoom. I guess if I can get ahold of a ECU wiring diagram it wouldnt be that hard.

im looking at this site:

http://www.mohdparts.com/emanage/#E-manage%20Special%20ECU%20Harness:

and it says:

commming soon....

E-manage Air/Fuel meter Input Harness #15900912
Its a harness for inputting the A/F meter signal into e-manage.
Simultaneous use with a pressure sensor becomes improper.
Simultaneous use with a Multi Switching System recognition adapter becomes improper.
Corresponds to v1.40+ of e-manage firmware.
Is this the O2 modifier from Greddy or is it a emanage upgrade to plug in a O2 senor into the emanage. That would be nice since I dont really have a data log on my PLX WB O2. It would make tunning the emanage easier.

Also is there a way to instanly switch betten two maps on emanage? Instead of loading 1 map at a time is there a way to store a map and creat a switch between them? Or is this done through Profec E01?

If you want you can come check out my wiring any time you want. This is a very busy time of the year for me but I could also meet you some where. I do not think that you can go from one map to another. without loading it with the lap top, but with my Apexi I can switch the boost I run and can hold 3 different set ups

That sounds like a great ideal...we are planing a Mazda meet so you should come up when we get everythign set up!

How much did it cost you to dyno tune the emanage?

The reason is because on the Profec E01/emanage programer you can have a switch to switch between high and low settings.

And the unit was esigned to work with emanage...so perhaps it can save a setting for low boost setting and another map for highboost setting.

Just looking at options becaue I like unichip but it doesnt allow you to custom tune...the idea of sending the unit to another state to get it tuned kind of turned me off. And plus you can have a cool greddy display with emanage.

im actually looking at this screen shot:

I have over 84 dyno pulls tuning the emanage. I have spent well over $1500.00 for just dynoes.
When is the meet? tell me a head of time and I will try to make it.

Yeah I read through it numerous times...believe me!

Orangezoom and Turboge's old page.

I downloaded his wiring diagram...im just such a newb when it comes to taping into my ECU. Whats this sodering resistor thing that Turborge was talking about...the thread is so old there are no pictures of the actual install which is what I was looking for. And this was before anyone figured out the close loop/open loop O2 modifier. Turboge didnt mention a perssure harness and sensor as part of his install...maybe it came with the profec E-01?

Anyways I started gathering parts

- PLX WB O2
- Wablro Fuel Pump
- WRX 440cc injectors (next on the buying list form percision turbo)

Now im comtiplating wether to go piggy back or Standalone.

Im adding up the cost and if its cheaper then unichip I'll go with greddy emanage with Profec E-01. But the big thing I like about unichip is the fast map loading with that toggle switch built in. switch between map A and Map B with a flip of a switch. But it doesnt allow custom tunning which is what I want!

If it hits the $1K range I might as well go microtech becuase that about how much a local shop is charging and a few more for tunning.

1FastMSP...I'll get in touch with you soon to learn more about what to do. Once I debate what im going to do about engine managment. I probally wont make a decision till I meet up with Orangezoom.

Hard to imagine all this went down in 1 years time...look at how many options we have for Engine managment...I remember when I bought the car it was the one thing we desperatley needed.

if you are going to run the E-01, you are on your own, i ran mine off of my laptop...it is much easier for dealing with the emanage and datalogging for the wideband and comparing the two on one screen. i used turboge's wiring diagram exactly as he has it posted. everything is done right at the ecu and i will see if i have any of those resistor's left and take a picture, you can get a pack of 4or5 at radio shack for dollar. anyways, i did the whole setup, not including wideband, for $500, bought everything off of ebay. hookup with orangezoom(i can't believe you still have that car, someone should have bought it by now), he is a great guy and can offer lots of help with the emanage and you could see it in person....

just out of curiousity since im too lazy to read hah. who was successful with the emanage. I think had my voltage clamp not broken i would still have the turbo protege.

anyone have a basic map that i maybe could use to get mine up and running? i guess anywhere from 6-8psi?

thanks

any luck with a n/a protege? just curious...i'm thinking about buyin one this friday? what all do i need? the kit i'm buyin comes with Greddy Emanage with Ignition harness and support tool and regular harness is what i'm gettin for 300. What else do i need? is there any mappings out for the n/a's? thanks for the help! peace-josh
