that down pipe is nice. I just gota go to another shop no prob my main concern is making my spacer for the radiator and fixing my exhaust leak

That's terrible. I'd leave a burning bag of poo on that guys front step.

It looks like the Edelbrock down pipe might be to long. Being to long will make it very difficult to fab. up a J-pipe.

Chiqles I hope this works out for you and I appreciate you sharing all this info.

not much but we have gotten off the subject to much. I finished making my spacer. im surprised we havent found anything else to replace our water neck.

I dont think its to long but i may have used a longer flex pipe to help comp the foward angle. its actually sits higher then the stock pipe. Its just the muffler guy doesnt know how to say no I dont have the resources to make that look good. He just wanted a quick buck.

by the time im done it will look good. This is just a minor setback. I will take more pics when i take the mani out to fix my leak.

heres my spacer took an old water neck and cut it now just need to deck it.

That's the exact same way I made my spacer for my Pope! Great minds, obviously, do think alike! haha

ya came out cake. I think a good 1/2hr job. Cut it with a hand saw then used a sander and flat board and there you go.

I bought gasket material and cut out a gasket for it so it wouldn't leak. I got the thick cork/rubber material. It hasn't leaked at all.

I wish I was there when he did this. But you can see that its not to hard of angle. The thing is making clearence for the studs.

well 95% puting the car together.
Santa all I want for christmas is a new j pipe ;)

update car has been running well. I can say I do feel a better pull in 4th I do still have an exhaust leak. Which I am in process of ordering a BIGSERT kit to replace the stripped holes on. I will still have to replace that J-pipe. I Will have to watch the oil return line to see if any degradation will happen due to the pipe being so close. So in all installation is easy. You need a spacer for the radiator hose and you need to make a custom j pipe. which is not that bad..good luck everyone
