I really don't think the speed 3'ers have any right to look at ebay kits! You guys have the PG custom piping / core setup for cheap. Wish the speed 6 had that . . .

Just to get that topic back, I throw my 2 pennies here...
Sure, PG piping or complete CP-E kit is the best option, but imagine you live in the ass of the world (like I am), so you have to pay lots of extra bucks for shipping and custom taxes. And here where I live, nobody sells aftermarket parts for MS3 (while there are plenty for Subaru or Mitsua actually).
Let me tell you more, each item which is more that 320$ has to pass custom clearance and to be paid with 33% of the cost difference. For example, I buy a fmic for 900$. So I have extra-cost of (900-320)*0.33+[200..250 shipping]. That is about 400-450$ extra!
And that eBay kit is an ideal option because it has very cheap price so I have to pay nothing at customs.
Real drawback is that I have to cut the pipings myself and I have to think on how should I attach it all without bangs etc. Yeah, I will spend some money on that. But real benefit really worth of it.
And yes, I recently bought it just to make fun for myself (when snow melts actually, we still have -10 C here). Core is quite good, pipings are not ideal and I will polish and paint them before installation.

In general, you get what you pay for. Sometimes the extra cost is all in the name (last night I saw a pair of CHEAP plastic eyeglasses by Armani for $300). Most of the time with automotive aftermarket, however, you are paying for the R&D of the part. Cheap parts are usually crappy knock-offs of the companies that actually put a lot of their own time and money into developing a good part. They will use inferior pieces, materials, and manufacturing methods to cut cost, and you will usually end up paying for it in the end.

Just my $0.02

I'm not saying I like bying cheap parts. All my other mods are good brands, as smbd put efforts into developing and testing it (right as you've mentioned). But I just wanted to focus on some irrelevant aspects for most of you (like shipping costs and custom clearance).
And yes, I won't recommend that eBay fmic for anyone who has an ability not to pay extra-taxes and shipping cost. If I lived in US, I would never go for eBay fmic, so here you're absolutely right.

Last one looks legit for me also... Wish I found that before I bought scrappy DIY cheap kit. 720$ with shipping here, ehhhh.... Don't rub salt into my wound, please :)

That's a bit offtopic, but actually the problem is that nobody produces parts itself here. I mean, everything which is presented - is produced in Japan or USA. So the price is 2-3 times higher, just because of "russian business" (as we call it): buy for 100, sell for 300. For example, I can by CP-E fmic here, but for 2200$. Or ATP long downpipe for 900$.
If I had some old Evo or STI - no problem, lots of parts to choose, but for mazda - almost nothing. That's awful, and people have to order everything by theirselves.
Igloo - yes, haha, we all live in igloo :) And sure a lot of bears, vodka and balalayka out here ;) Forced induction balalayka :)

Buy a ******* sti and don't wast your time to buy EBAY cheap stuff for a 30k car!

Go to a shop there and get custom piping. Any evo or sub shop worth anything can run pipes. Easy to do.

well according to the ebay site everything comes with the kit, piping, core, and even a bpv, although I wouldn't want to use it. Already have a turbosmart.

I have the CXRacing IC in this kit but used off the shelf piping that I had to cut. I used a PG bracket. I put mine together for $459 total. Works great.

Thanks all for recommendations, actually that's what I'm planning to do - just get the pipings (bended, cause I have already straight pipings) and make it owrk by myself. As I understand, I just need to take care for smoothing angles and to test intercooler core that it doesn't block too much air-flow.
