Ebay Custom Trunk Kits

Has anyone seen those trunk kits they sell for the proteges, etc. on ebay? i thought they were cool but i dont know , for 20 bucks it doesnt seem like they are good quality kits.. anyone know where you can get the kits on a website or have info on them?? thanx

From what I've heard, the ones they make for Civics are really bad quality, as in bad fit and cheap materials. May be different for you guys, but I wouldn't put much faith in them.

if you are talking about the kit that is for the deck to make it open differntly....I found a page a while back where the guy described how he made them and had pics and all....they looked cheap....and all the parts, which were just a few hinges, cost him all of about $5 and were gotten from a regular hardware store....I would question the ability for the decklid to properly line up afterwards and to seal properly.

I think someone from Arkansaws has one of these. He was in a car show, and he posted pictures. It looks kool, but I wonder if it aligns properly.

I saw those pictures too....just didn't have close ups of the actual workings...

also I went to the NEW car show a few months ago..and I forget what make and model it was...but some NEW car has a trunk that opens like that now.
