ebay CAI question

hahaha they'll be plenty to go around
Honestly, I did the research recently as I just installed my CAI and to tell you the truth, they all do about the same performance wise. The extra cash you pay is basically for the brand name, that and the flashy enamel paint . The tubing and rubber fittings are basically all made by the same factories. The bottomline is this: Go with brandnames if you want the brandname part and finish (duh!). But if you want to save a few bucks, go with one off of ebay.(evil)

I would suggest to get away from buying junk from ebay, I got screwed twice thinking I can save money on there. But when it comes to quality stick with brand names. I mean do you wanna pop your hood and say hey look at my injen CAI or my El cheapo from Ebay.com
:D

I would have to differ...

I bought my ebay SRI (link 1) last year, and it did a great job, but I wanted a CAI. Seeing that the injen was $200+, I didn't want to dish that out, so I was the first (I THINK) on this forum to go ahead and buy the ebay CAI and I must say that it doesn't add a difference in performance, but looks and sounds REALLY NICE!

My opinion... go with the ebay CAI... it's only a few more dollars than the SRI. Ask ANYONE who bought an injen and an ebay CAI, they're almost exactly the same, except for the INJEN sticker...

The two are about the same length, pipe wise... also they are pretty close to the same diameter. You are getting the same power increase, the difference might be .1 hp. Both use the same material. Both are mounted the same way. Its just that I would have to agree with Coqui on this one too. All thats needed is just a new filter and you are set... But if you love brandnames go for the INJEN.... $200+ vs the Ebay... about $60 then a new filter... maybe $90 give or take. Name vs $$$.... hmmm......
