Dyno'd my car

was just searching up on exhaust and I happen to come up on this thread link. In the first post he says add about 25-30% to numbers recorded on a dynojet (which is the type we used at carboy) to get more accurate HP numbers. With that in mind, a 25% increase in my HP numbers would put me at 164.25 peak HP. That seems a little high with only an intake, but it seems closer to the truth than 131. Think I'm gonna look into this some more.

I doubt that high, when i dynoed my car my torque reading was WAY off due to bad grounds on my car, couldnt get the dyno to read things right the first run. it was around 512lbs/ft LOL, hp was correct though. I have since then corrected my bad stock grounds with 4 gauge wire and am going back to the dyno to see what i make now since ive added a midpipe, my brakes arent sticking anymore, and fixed a really bad boost leak.

if your flashed then 164 is reasonable with an intake

I'll go with 15%, which puts me at 151.11 peak HP. Not too bad for a homeade Injen style CAI, about what I was expecting.

sorry discreet but your car doesnt make that much hp, your trap speeds suggest something closer to 220-235whp. which aint bad. but nowhere near the # you are thinking.

so wait, what is going on now? I figured about a 10% allowence... that would put the stock msp's at 150'ish and maurice at 250'ish

Oh and I'm unflashed. Don't know if I am going to get it flashed though, it is running VERY rich now, so I would feel safe upping the boost a couple of psi right now. 8 to 9 tops. After I take care of the exhaust.

well i did a little search on it and it was anywhere from 15-20& loss........either way ima goto another dyno...theres no way im pushin 230 something...the srt i ran was pushin way over 230 hp:rolleyes: and both our cars weigh about the same....

a guy with a p5 pushing 240whp was trapping the same as you discreet(and his p5 weighs about the same as your car if we are talking hp/weight ratios here)

yea but you goto remember its 15psi on a t25...i would say tops you are at 240whp(MAYBE 245), which is still alot for that car untuned...

well adding the 15% to the amount that you made to the wheels = crank HP
