When im sittin at a stop light, sometimes my rpms drop down to about 500. The car has a lil shake when this happens, almost kinda like the car stalls. Does this happen to anyone else?

I had this happen a couple times a few weeks ago, but it has gone away since then. engine wasn't cold, nor was it cold out...not real sure what it could be.

i had this problem in a chevy blazer i used to own...turns out one of the plugs was misfiring...take it to the dealer...its a warranty problem

[Forgot my PW]

This was happening to me after I installed my intake and cat-back. So I put in a few tanks of 93 octane gas, and haven't had the problem since.

Couldn't hurt to give it a try.

I only run 93 though. We don't have any 91 around me. any ideas?

the problem you all are describing happens to me too. it's actually normal believe it or not. that slight little drop for a few seconds, sometimes longer, is the pcm searching for whats known as 'target idle'.
it has to do it every now and then as a self check. it won't hurt any thing it's just kinda annoying especially if you have any audio upgrades.

Thanks. Always nice to get some good news.
As long as its normal. Thanks 20ESGUY!
