DRL in headlights not working

Hello,

My problem is the drl in the healights, they doesn't work, neither right or left side. Light mode "AUTO", and I have the headlights with bixenon, no halogen high beam.

Bulbs are OK on the 13 W standard lights that is drl.

Any guesses what is wrong? Can't find any faulty fuse, so far no chance to check if I got 12 V to the HB3 connector. Found a video online mention D (drive) need to be in, I tried, still no light.

My guess is these should light up i n day light, and if the day light get dark enough the Xenon low beam lights up automatically, but on my car nothing lights up in the front if the mode "AUTO" is set and it is day light condition, when it gets darker, low beam starts.

Not every time, but I am quite sure that it been off most of the time, it is a manual parking brake, but you mean it need to not be engaged (parking brake) to set the drl to ON?
Last time I was on my own and with D, I had the parking brake active (handle pulled) so I could stand infront of the car.
So it need to be in "AUTO", in D and manual parking brake OFF? Anything mote too if this is correct?

No I didn't buy it new, but I doubt that it was disabled, since it's illegal to drive it without any front light here (Sweden), and in "AUTO" nothing is on, hence illegal, so I can't see the point of disable it and lose the function of use "AUTO" as light setting.
But any idea how they did it if anyone would have done it, coding?

It's a convulated sequence of operations, push this button, hold this button, etc. Some have had success and some weren't able to get it to work and it reportedly does not work on Canadian CX5s. So probably doesn't work on Euro CX5s either.

I suggest checking the owner's manual for your model year and country, see what it has to say about DRLs.

DRL only runs when the car is in motion. You'll need to drive up to a glass storefront to confirm functionality.

I had to do this a few weeks ago. Here is the process to "disable DRL".

Aha, thanks, yes it could probably be the same on the European cars (made in Japan, not sure if it is the Japan made over there too or any local plant?).
I got the manual but it is useless, a thick book but it does not mention this at all, it hardly mention my type of head lights at all. Much more about the lamps with halogen high beam, this one I got is the top spec here except no sun roof.

Right now it seem more easy to rewire the drl with a new 12 V feed, but I hope for some other way.

OK, I will need a second person to help me check, but since a lot of cars flashes me, I am rather sure it never works, they are "telling me" you don't have the lights on, since you get a ticket for it here, even in day light.

Here we have something, thanks! Do you happen to know if this apply on 2014 model too?
